National Service Scheme is basically an education extension programme. It is associated with various types of social works like social forestation, removal of garbage, adult and continuing education, organisation of blood donation camps, development and maintenance of medicinal plant garden etc. The college has two units of NSS. All students are encouraged to associate themselves with NSS activities of the college. The college tries to impart value education through NSS and NCC activities. Regular seminars and camps are organised. In the year 2004, a National Integration Camp funded by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs was organised by the NSS Unit of the college.
The college boasts of having an active NCC Unit. A unit for the girls' students has also been opened. The NCC cadets observe all important events like college foundation day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Netaji's Birthday etc. in the college. The cadets of this Mahavidyalaya regularly get chance to participate in the Republic Day Parade in Delhi. All students are free to join the NCC Unit of the college.
