The college was established on August 09, 1965. The Library was started and organized by the then Librarian, Mr. Shibaram Majumder.
After few years, Mr. Radhakanta Roy was appointed as the Assistant Librarian.
The Library-staff members were Late Mr. Soreman Ali and Late Mr. Shanti Ray.
Mrs. Dipa Mukherjee was entrusted with the library duties from 1996 though her sanctioned post was that of a pump operator. She retired on January 31, 2020.
Mr. Apurba Majumder worked as a library staff from 2001 to November 2014 till his transfer to the Department of Chemistry.
The Librarian, Mr. Shibaram Majumder retired in 2001. After his retirement, Mr. Radhakanta Ray, Assistant Librarian whose post was later on transformed into the post of ‘Librarian’ took over the charge of the Library.
Mr. Ray opted for voluntary retirement in 2007, one year before the usual time of superannuation because of poor health condition.
Mr. Hemanta Mukherjee joined the Library in 2007 against the sanctioned post of a 'Library Peon’.
Mrs. Sultana Rajia, a lady attendant was entrusted with the library duties from 2007 to 2014.
Mrs. Dipanwita Ray, the present Librarian joined the college on July 06, 2010 against the vacancy of the post of Mr. Shibaram Majumder.
Another vacant post of the ‘Librarian’ has been filled up by Mr. Krishna Pada Roy. He joined the post against the vacancy of the post of Mr. Radhakanta Roy. He joined the post on November 17, 2014.
The Library services are rendered to the Morning Shift students and the employees by the Morning Shift Library Clerk, Mr. Amitava Malik.
